“What do you want for Christmas?” Mumbles my younger brother, peeping over his Xbox controller. “I couldn’t think what I wanted, so I decided to think what you and mum would want…. So yeah….. (mumble mumble) What do you want?”
Saying; ‘Something from YSL’ is wasted on Howard. That’s like him saying to me ‘I want a T12DD Drill Driver’. Even if I said a highlighter or Pixiwoo brush, I would no doubt be receiving a gift pack of multi-coloured high lighter pens and a tiny brush, similar to that he used for his War Hammar years ago.
I’m not usually one for making Christmas lists. But of recent times I find myself scribbling down items that I desire and constantly try my best to resist the temptation of buying them for myself. ‘They wont know what that is” Whispers the devil perched on my shoulder, carelessly waving my credit card around What if it sells out?......... You’ve been good recently……. It’s good to treat yourself.” And before I know it, the item’s in my shopping cart, gone through paypal and will be delivered in 2-3 days.
So without further confusing, I nab my card back push the keyboard away and point my brother towards this Blog. And in fact anyone else who asks me the question ‘What do you want for Christmas’? and say; if in doubt choose the small pretty thing…
